



Role of the Executive Board:
The executive board (e-board) is the coordinating limb of the Saint Michael the Archangel Alumni association.
Chair:
- E-board member
- Maintain open communication between SMA faculty advisor and principle
- Organize alumni committee meetings & activities
- Create and maintain minutes
- Oversee financial information for committee
- Documentation and oversight of committee goals and objectives
Communication
- E-board member
- Develop communication plan
- Maintain alumni section of Web site
- Create and initiate church bulletin posts to support e-board initiatives and events
- Create and maintain a vibrant and engaging social media presence; including recruitment of ‘friends, followers, etc’
- Coordinate and conduct outreach efforts to ‘like’ groups (work with retention and
recruitment)
- Current students of SMA & area high schools
- Other SMA associations
- Alumnus
- Families of past – present students (home and school association?)
- Church family (pastoral council, Knights of Columbus, Church committees?)
- Digitize the year books
- Signage
Retention and Recruitment
- E-board member
- Create and recruit for the KNIGHTS project
- graduating year captains
- create expectation and duties list & means of communication
- Define and create an engagement plan for the ‘young’ alumni
- define the expectations of the youngest alumni
- ex- should not be financial but these are the most engaged
- create an updated list – esp email
- Define and engagement plan for the ‘seasoned’ alumni
- define the expectations of the youngest alumni
- maintain database of contacts
- this could be event or fundraising related
- Determine committee involvement in the SMA fair
- plan should be in place as to the committee activity at fair (games, tabling, etc)
by March 2016

- example anniversary of winning baseball team, etc
- involve current unique group and coordinate some form of outreach
Events and Activities

- Oversee philanthropic activities
- Create volunteer program with school enabling Alumnus and Friends to give back by way of their expertise and time
Fundraising
- Coordinate with SMA fundraising committees
- Coordinate with other SMA committees fundraising efforts
- Coordinate, oversee, execute and evaluate one-off fundraising events
